Stuart Pompian has over twenty years experience as a venture capitalist.
Most recently he was vice president of New England Capital Corporation
where he specialized in health care services and technology investments.
He is currently affiliated with Boston Millennia Partners.
He is a founder and CFO of Dartware, LLC; a recent software start
up. For the past several years he has been a consultant providing
financial and general management services.
While with New England Capital he was an early investor in several
successful companies including Parexcel International (NASDAQ: PRXL),
Proxima Corp. (NASDAQ: PRXM), Summa Four (NASDAQ: SUMA) and Banyan
Systems (NASDAQ: BNYN), Mobile Diagnostic Imaging (acquired by Diagnostic
Health Systems, NASDAQ: DHSM), Protocare, Inc. (a provider of home
IV services, acquired by Abbey Medical) and Stateline Tack (an equestrian
catalogue acquired by PetsMart, NASDAQ: PETM ). He was a director
of Parexcel, Protocare and Mobile Diagnostic Imaging.
As a private investor, Mr. Pompian participated in the only two
venture capital rounds of Ilex Oncology (NASDAQ: ILXO). He was a
director of TSP, Inc. (The Hanover Green Card), a financial services
company acquired by Student Advantage (NASDAQ: STAD).
Mr. Pompian has been CEO/COO of two manufacturing companies; both
turnarounds. In addition he has had experience as an international
marketing and licensing consultant and has done litigation support.
Mr. Pompian holds a BSEE from the University of Illinois and has
done graduate study in physics and business administration.
